WHO

The Prairie South School Division represents 39 schools located within 19 rural and urban communities. There are a number of key stakeholders who are spearheading the Centennial Auditorium Renovation with the support of the Prairie South School Division Board of Trustees.

The Centennial Auditorium is a venue that has supported thousands of performers, bands, choirs, dancers, and speakers over the last 87 years. It is one of the largest theatre spaces in the province and has been home to hundreds of school and community plays, musicals, choir and band performances.

    One Seat at a Time. The Centennial Auditorium has not received a major update since the mid 1960’s.

    WHERE:

    The Centennial Auditorium is located in A.E. Peacock Collegiate, however, it is a facility that belongs to the Prairie South School Division. It is used by many schools and community groups.

    WHEN: Right now!

    The support from the Division is in place and the schools are committed to fundraising efforts.

The project will be funded from a variety of sources. The Prairie South School Division has committed $250,000 to the renovation with a goal of matching funds through donations from individuals, community organizations, businesses, and grants.

An updated and renovated auditorium will ensure access to a large performance space will be in place for school aged youth and the community for years to come.

The auditorium has done a wonderful job at supporting the arts since construction in 1931 but is need of repairs and updates. Our vision is to modernize and provide a first rate performance space for even more events and activities. We cant do it without you support so consider donation today!
